goodbye trees!/southern summer sun

hey everyone!

what a crazy couple of weeks its been

trees has indeed broken up.. ill be concentrating on cool rainbows and the others have different projects/bands in the works

we played the trees last shows at whammy and waiheke with ned collette and actor/model

thanks to everyone who came out to watch the shows and have fun with us!

im gonna miss the guys but we finish up on good terms and remain good friends

thanks to all who helped us or supported us for our brief 6 months or so together.

there is more uplifting, positive news on the way but i think ill wait before i post about it.

in the meantime Ive uploaded a new cool rainbows track on myspace for you all today called southern summer sun :)

hope youre all enjoying the summertime!

i made a video with my buddy paul last night for a cool rainbows track called bubble stars... it was just for funsies but expect more to come as i had heaps of fun making it .. just gotta get my computer to handle the jandle when doing all the loading stuff

neil young was amazing at bdo this year. hot chip was fun too... i got there late so didnt catch tv


oohh and bellhawkes have pretty much written and demozed a whole albums worth so more on that soon!

its a collab between my very close friend nick and myself.

the trees ep is now finished and mastered. phewf took us a wee while to let it go :)

the artwork is currently being made by our good friend Joel Kefali.. you can check out his work here

Joel is also a member of a freeform noise group i play in called

APHG

trees probably wont have a release party for the ep till late jan/mid feb but you might be able to pick it up at one of our shows sometime in the near future... in the meantime you can listen at the trees myspace for most of the songs

cool rainbows has a couple new ones up now too, i might put some up for download as soon as i can work out how the download option works on the new player

in other news i start work with dear times waste again soon to finish her ep.. and mixes for the brand new maths songs im currently working on will be completed soon.

so you should have alot of new music to listen to for the summer!

there are some other projects coming up ill let you know about soon
